Elders
Greg Dixon
Elder
Greg has served as one of our Shepherds since 2003. He leads in the area of our mission works. He served as the pulpit preacher for two congregations prior to becoming an elder. He has been the president of Perfect Shine Inc. for over thirty years. He is co-founder and co-director of the Mosquito River Bible School in Mosquito River, Tanzania. He currently sits on the board of Bucket by Bucket, a non-profit company dedicated to drilling wells in Tanzania, Africa. He has been married to his wife Cindy for over thirty-six years. They have two married children and two grandchildren who all attend Northport church of Christ. Greg enjoys kayaking and surf fishing in his spare time.
Don Farmer
Elder
Don and his wife Allison have been members of the Northport congregation for many years. They have two beautiful children, Kate and Luke. Don oversees our Lads to Leaders Program.
Roger Hester
Elder
Roger has served as one of the elders of the Northport church of Christ since August of 2017. He served as a deacon for 29 years prior to becoming an elder. He is currently the Senior's Minister and leads our Navigator Class as well as heading up our Security Team. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Jim Walter Resources & Mercedes Benz U.S. Intl. where he worked as an industrial electrician for 35 years. He works as a gunsmith in his spare time. He has been married to his wife Debra for 47 years. Debra is a retired teacher. They have 3 adult children and 11 grandchildren. They enjoy traveling, camping in their RV, Alabama & Atlanta Braves Baseball, Fishing and Hunting.
Damon Ligon
Elder
Damon is a long time member here at Northport with his wife Melissa. They have a son Brandon and a wonderful granddaughter Annsley. Damon became a elder in 2025.
Glenn Taylor
Elder
Glenn and Teresa have been members at Northport since moving to the area in 1982. They have 2 sons and 5 grandchildren. Glenn is a retired school principal and has worked as the director of a large public foundation since 2006. He has taught adult bible classes since 1990 and was appointed an elder in 2004.Teresa is a retired school counselor and now operates a private counseling practice. Glenn's hope is for the Northport congregation to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Glenn is an active member of the Bluegrass Music community and heads the Southeast Fiddle Championship each February.

Johnny Baxter
Deacon
Johnny is a longtime member here at Northport with his wife Tara. Johnny’s area of work is building and maintenance.
David Estes
Deacon
David and Michelle have been with the Northport church of Christ since 2004, where he has served as a deacon of technology and now one of our mission’s deacons for the past 16 years. David is from Winfield, AL and is married to Michelle Estes and has two sons, Clay and Matthew. He has worked for UPS for 30 years and currently works as a Network Air Planner for all of Alabama, parts of Florida, Mississippi, and Tennessee. In his spare time, you will find him on the trail hiking as well as woodworking with many other hobbies.
Billy Jordan
Deacon
Billy has attended here at Northport his entire life. He is married to Rachael, and they have a daughter, Layla and a son, River. Billy’s area of responsibility is Technology and Streaming.
Dewayne Marlowe
Deacon
Dewayne and his wife Gayla have been members of the Northport congregation for many years. They have three boys: Paul Michael, Palmer, and Parker. They are also foster parents. Dewayne’s area of work is our Missions program.
Nathan Moore
Deacon
Nathan Moore was born and raised in Parrish, AL. Nathan married Maggie in 2008 and they are the parents of Avery and Eli. Nathan is currently employed by the City of Tuscaloosa as an IT Support Specialist. Nathan’s area of responsibility is Technology.
Daryl Phelps
Deacon
Daryl and his wife Kayla have been members here at Northport for 12 years. They have two children, Lahna Kate and Carson. Daryl’s area of responsibility is Technology and Computers.
Andy Williams
Deacon
Andy oversees our Fellowship Hall and activities that surround it. He is married to Becky and they have a daughter, Grace.
Zane Willingham
Deacon
Zane has been a member at Northport since 2006 and has served as a deacon since 2016. He is married to Mandie, and they have two daughters, Emmie, and Piper. Zane’s area of responsibility is Worship & Legal.
Ministers
Kerry Richardson
Minister
Kerry is a native of Walker County and has served the Northport congregation for almost 16 years as the preaching minister. During his ministry, Kerry served 3 congregations prior to coming to Northport – Somerville (Somerville, TN), Memorial Parkway (Huntsville, AL), and Midway (Jasper, AL). He and his wife Natalie have been married for 25 years and they have three sons: Sawyer, Canyon, and Oakley.
Charles Steiner
College Minister
Charles began serving as Education Minister in 2025. He has faithfully served churches of Christ as a preacher, youth minister, and campus minister since 2007. Charles and his wife Kylie have three daughters: Wells, Collins, and Sellers.
Jordan Alker
Youth Minister
Jordan has been serving in youth ministry since 2014. He has a Master of Science degree in Christian Ministry. He has a supportive wife, Bri, and they are blessed with three children, Brantlee, Jaidyn, and Avery. In July of 2021, they began serving at the Northport church of Christ.
"The congregation here has been such a blessing to us, and we know that they will be to you. This is not a work for me, this is family, and I want you to come meet and be a part of our family."

Leanna McWilliams
Secretary
Leanna has been a member of the Northport church of Christ for 14 years. She has taught children's bible classes here for over 10 years and continues to teach in our Sunday morning Kingdom Kids bible program. In addition to teaching, she serves as our church secretary.
